Summer Beauty Must-Haves

It's that time of the year again. Well, almost that time. Parties. Beaches. Friends. Boys. Oh, and the heat. Imagine this, you're outside hanging out with your friends and it's just so hot that you start sweating. And then you wipe your face to get rid of it. And then you wonder if all that makeup is still on your face. I'm almost positive this has happened to each and every one of us. Florida summers are terrible. It can get so hot that you just stop wearing makeup, which trust me, happens every single year. BUT even though the heat is unbearable, it is still possible for you to look fresh. Here are some of my all time favorite makeup products that make summers and Florida that much more bearable. By that much, I mean very little. I still die every year.

Summer beauty must-haves

1. BB creams are amazing. They're just amazing. That's all I have to say. BB creams are perfect for summer because they provide that perfect amount of coverage without caking up your face and also protect it from the sun because, you know, SPF is the bomb.

I choose: Revlon Photoready BB Cream | $11

2. Bright colors are your best friend in the summer. All you add is a little bit of a bright lipstick and you instantly have a fresh look. I love bright pink just because wearing it makes my face brighter and it doesn't wash out my face.

3. I wear bronzer all the time. But during the summer, I add just a little bit more because it gives me a summer glow that makes it look like I've spent all day inside. Which I haven't because I'm usually always under the AC. I usually prefer a blush/bronzer duo because I can take it wherever I want and adding a little blush gives me a nice, flushed look.

I choose: Nars Blush & Bronzer Duo | $24

4. Like the lips, bright colors are must for the nails. I don't know, I think it just makes everything a little more fun.

5. I don't know about you guys, but I sweat. A lot. I'm telling you, the summertime just kills me. And waterproof mascara is a lifesaver. There is nothing worse than ugly raccoon eyes which is why waterproof mascara is a must for everyone.

6. As I said before, I sweat a lot during the summer. And though I usually have really dry skin, my skin gets a little oily in the summer. Oil absorbing sheets are amazing and I love them because they don't ruin my makeup. A perfect alternative for this is toilet paper which is perfect because who doesn't have toilet paper?

Maxi Dresses In!

Hey everyone! One of the best things about spring is getting to wear super comfortable airy clothing. As hijabis, it's hard to be comfortable in the spring and especially in the summer since we have to cover, but the solution is simple, dresses! Stocking up on maxi dresses for the spring is the way to go, especially for us. A fun, flowy maxi dress and a light cardigan can give you an effortless yet chic look. Here are some maxi dresses that have caught my eye since they were released for the spring.
maxi dresses

LC Lauren Conrad striped maxi dress / Empire waist maxi dress / Forever 21 boho maxi dress / Forever 21 floral print chiffon dress / Love 21 aqua dress / Sperry Top Sider scoop neck maxi dress / Apt 9 sleeveless dress

Above are the links to where these supah cute dresses can be found. The gorgeous aqua blue jersey maxi dress from Forever 21 is absolutely stunning for the spring as well as summer. Its looks lightweight and very comfy. Im in love with the Lauren Conrad pink striped dress. It has a different style of stripes that are angled so it doesn't widen us ladies with the wide hips. You can never ever ever go wrong with a splash of floral. The Forever 21 floral maxi is a sweet and casual dress, I love the blend of the  soft pinks and white.
How cute is the Montauk striped maxi from Sperry Top Spider? The colors are so fun and vibrant! Its perfect for  a day on the beach and hanging with friends on the boardwalk. Im also obsessed with that Forever 21 boho style maxi with the blue and coral, I picked it up at the store and dress is so pretty, lightweight and absolutely to die for!

I hope you guys enjoyed my little maxi dress collage and have fun styling with spring colors!

Spring Inspiration Part 2

Spring Fashion

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

I have been so over winter and wearing sweaters and thankfully, the weather agrees with me. It's been really sunny this past week and I couldn't be happier. I'm so excited for spring and pastel and flowers and I could go on and on. I think pastel colors and floral are two trends that will never get old for spring time. Coral and peach are colors that you could never go wrong with!

Spring Inspiration

step into spring

Hey guys! Spring is almost here, it's right around the corner, I can smell it! Okay no I really can't because once again the New York weather is sucky and butt ugly cold. But, that won't stop me from dreaming about spring and get inspired for spring fashion! Here's an outfit I put together in a spring state of mind.
The basic maxi dress is a gorgeous taupe color that is perfect for spring and I think it looks lovely paired with a basic light wash denim jacket from Levis. I added a pink and white scarf to wear as a hijab ( muslim head cover).
I'm obsessed with coral colors and that side bag from Forever 21 is absolutely perfect for spring! Its the cutest color ever. The sandals and arm candy are just a few things I threw in there to pull the look together. I seriously can't wait for the weather to become beautiful, still waiting. If spring has already reached you, then lucky you! Get inspired!
