Not So Wonderful Winter Wonderland

There was no way in hell I was going into campus today. I woke up at 8 AM and looked out my window to find freakishly large snowflakes building up several inches of snow. Thank god my professors had the sense to cancel my classes! I could relax and spend the day eating and goofing around with my family, but not before shoveling the awful amount of snow that accumulated. The east coast got it bad this year, this snow is just NOT stopping. I'm afraid we will end up buried like those poor folks in the movie The Day After Tomorrow, haha.

Not only did it snow today, it RAINED! Yes, adding misery to our injuries, the 6 inches of snow became heavy and hard to shovel. We couldn't even play with the snow because it was getting all wet and nasty.  I asked myself and my father several times during our shoveling why we even live here. We never have an answer. There's something in New York we just can't leave behind. Nadia's mom likes to joke around and say there's gold in New York and thats why we stay. In the end it's okay, we tough it out like we newyorkers always do. I rewarded myself with some homemade soup by my momma, some pizza, and a much needed nap.  Here are some pictures of our never ending winter.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I had a hard time deciding what I should post for this weeks what I'm loving wednesday, only because I don't really have favorites and very rarely do I like something for a long period of time. I'm actually a very picky person yet I'm also very simple. But I finally narrowed it down and figured out just exactly what I'm loving this week.

The first thing is my Lacoste (I say La'coast' but apparently it's La'cost') Touch of Pink perfume. My brother got me this for my 16th birthday and I have been loving using it this past fall and winter. It is a really sexy scent, which I prefer when the weather gets colder. It's also very intense and musky but it still is very feminine which I love. I'm not good at describing scents but to me, it smells like a combination of floral scents that are fresh yet still make a statement. This is perfect if you are into musky scents that have the perfect amount of floral freshness. I reach for this perfume every time I go out and it honestly makes me feel more confident.

The next thing I have been loving this past week is my Naked juices. I've been drinking these nonstop and I love them so much. They are these all natural juice smoothies, basically a blend of a bunch of fruits and/or vegetables. Because it is so thick, I get full just drinking one bottle but I don't feel bad after because I know it's all just fruits and vegetables. Some of the ones I absolutely love and always drink are Berry Blast, Blue Machine, Mighty Mango, Orange Mango (this one is so good!), and Pineapple Mango + Coconut Water.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

If there's one thing people know about me, it's that I have a bad addiction to TV shows. It's a serious issue and its a wonder that I get through my semesters at college without totally flunking. Dont worry, I don't get even near failing. About 2 years ago I somehow, for some ridiculous reason got hooked on to... The Bachelor. Yes I am admitting it, and I am a tad bit ashamed. Before I go any further I'll have you know that I do not think the show allows people to find love or that it actually works. Any person in their right mind that watches this show knows that it is not a normal way to find a partner, nor does it result in long-lasting relationships. I'm mostly in it for the drama, more drama, and Juan Pablo of course. Who is Juan Pablo you ask?

This is Juan Pablo. Need I say more?

On a different note, I have been currently obsessing over my new favorite, Almond Butter. Its like peanut butter, except without the peanuts, so it's perfect for those with peanut allergies! Its healthy, guilt free and really really delicious! My entire family is obsessed with it as well. The one I purchase is called Barney's Butter. It is so creamy, gluten free, no trans fats, and the oil does not separate so no stirring is required. I checked out their website, and they don't just have plain almond butter, no no. They have vanilla bean and cocoa and coconut almond butter flavors too! I usually have almond butter with well... anything I could find. Bagels, bread, croissants, apples, bananas, waffles, pancakes, pretzels. I'll stop there. As you can clearly see, I am beyond obsessed.
