The Naked 3

Today I decided to start off the blog with a post about the Naked 3 palette, how exciting! I got the palette somewhere within the last few weeks of December. Now let me be honest, I was not planning on getting the Naked 3 so soon after the release. I wanted to save some money and splurge on myself later. BUT then, Sephora sent me a $15 coupon in the mail and one of my good friends pretty much convinced me to go on and get it since it would be only $37. I thought, well why the heck not. Not only did she convince me, she went and picked it up for me. I've got me some amazing friends, I know :)

To start off, I need to just say that this palette is absolutely GORGEOUS. The Naked 1 & Naked 2 never interested me and I do not own either of them. I wasn't so interested in the browns, and the neutrals and didn't understand the hype. I'm more into colorful shadows, like my Vice 2 palette. The Naked 3 however is a different story. This might sound a little weird but it reminds of a calming sunrise, one of the things I love the most in life. The rose-tuned hues are so soft and so beautiful. And of course as always with Urban Decay shadows, the color pay-off is great! The shadows are soft, pigmented, and super easy to blend.

The rosy packaging is different from the two other Naked palettes, this one is more plastic like but it doesn't bother me. The palette consists of shimmery pinks, coppers, browns and mauves. There are 2 matte shadows included that are useful for blending and highlighting. Included is a dual-ended brush that gets the job done, especially if you are traveling. Did I mention that it's great for traveling? I took it with me on vacation for a week and created tons of looks.

My absolute favorite shadows out of the 12 are Buzz (a sparkly rose pink), Nooner ( a matte mauve), Burnout (a peachy pink), and Blackheart (an almost black with red-ish purple-ish sparkles). The only color that disappointed me was Dust, a super glittery pale pink. The shadow is really loose and creates a a lot of fallout when applying. I've found myself avoiding it sometimes. But it doesn't lessen my love for this palette! The Palette is perfect for creating neutral everyday looks as well as some deep, smokey looks if you're up for it. $52 is a lot to shell out, but palettes like these don't come along all the time. It is very unique and I'm super happy that I've got my hands on one!
